Alessi Logo Redesign (2022)
Alessi is a legacy designer brand that has built a reknown presence around the world. They struggle to catch the young Canadian audience. They are requesting a logo redesign along with two bus stop ads that will bring in the mellenial audience.
This logo redesign was done to create a greater draw of mellenial consumers. Along side an ad campaign that uses the newly designed logo, for bus stop advertising.
Logo created using Adobe Illustrator
Renders made using Adobe Photoshop
Layout in Adobe InDesign
The logo has been simplified and modernized, to show a shift towards a new future. The movement of the letters pushes the eyes forward, but the āIā stops the viewer to demand attention and glance over the logo again. It mirrors the design language that can be seen throughout Alessi products, as they have products that were designed in the 1930ās along side their modern pieces, they are all designed for the present, which remains constant throughout time.
The ADs invite viewers to question and engage with the narratives that are displayed. The first ad is shown placing two products that are available on the Alessi store, from two different time periods together in contrast with each other. This ad is showing Alessi as a legacy brand, along with the innovation it has brought throughout the years. Maintaining the brands voice of letting the products speak from themselves is very important, this ad lets the product do the talking. The following ad follows the same logic as the first, intriguing viewers to look more into the brand on their own. Encouraging viewers to engage with the brand online.
